Pentoga Road
I've never seen a deer standing in water, grazing on water lilies before. I've observed many moose doing the same, even a few bears, but never a deer.
I started painting the rear of the storage shed Sunday morning.
Initially, I thought I'd just do one or two sections. Why be miserable and make myself do the entire thing at one time? I'd spread it out over several days. It would be nothing.
Before I knew it, I was painting the last panel.
Sargie and I had planned on going fishing. After a quick trip to town, I returned home, gathered Sargie, and away we went.
Other than a few rain showers, the afternoon was almost perfect.
As has become the norm, Sargie guided us in the right direction.
By afternoon's end, we had a nice mess of bluegills, more than enough for a fish fry.
It was the perfect finish to a perfect day.
Sargie's back to work today. After my walk, my main goal is to get the firewood unloaded off the trailer.
After that, who knows? I need to feed the pumpkins and pick blueberries. The list goes on and on.
This ought to be good. The giant pumpkin plant growing by the barn has wound its way around the pyramids and a pumpkin is now growing three feet off the ground. |
After all, a man's work is never done.
Delicious and nutritious. Mmm. Cookies that include bacon are not only good tasting, but I'm pretty sure they contain some antioxidants... probably a vitamin or two. If not, they should. |
So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
