Andy's primping and grooming Sunday morning in preparation of the upcoming New England/Green Bay game.

Winter's set in with a vengeance on Pentoga Road. The temperature's not so bad this morning, but the wind is brisk. In fact, wind chills are forecast to reach -25 and lower today and tonight.

The name of the game in these parts is Packers football.

Yooper Mark pulled into the drive Sunday morning and before long, Andy, Jess, Mark, and I, were on our way to Title Town for the big game.

Jess had never been to a big venue game before, so it was a new experience for her.

And like the other 80,000 people in attendance we were in the party mood. I went around to various groups of people who were dressed more peculiar than I for some quick snap shots.

The Packer Turkeys, all wearing #4, were advocating that we forgive Brett Favre and welcome him back to Lambeau. I completely agree.

Packer Santa even came down from the North Pole to see the game!
The pregame went quickly and we enjoyed ourselves walking around and watching all the warm up festivities.

Andy doing the Lambeau Leap on our newest set of bronze statues. We had to wait over twenty minutes in line to take the pictures.
I hung around the CBS van knowing they'd probably want me to provide some color commentary, but evidently word didn't reach the top brass I was available. Honestly, you can't get good help these days... even at CBS.
There were acres of tailgaters and boy, did those brats smell good!

Jordy Nelson on the left (#87) and Aaron Rodgers (#12) on the right talking to the little boy, probably involved in one of his many charities.

Let the game begin
In the end, the better team won... Green Bay. It was a close contest, but we emerged by the score of 26 - 21 and now sit atop the NFC North Division with a 9 - 3 record. If we win the next four games, all the playoff contests up to the Super Bowl should be played in Lambeau. Lookin' good!

Jess heads back to Maine today. Andy will take her to the airport in Iron Mountain later this morning.

Sargie's back to work at the Vision Center. Andy will be here for the next week. The temperatures are to warm up later in the week and no doubt, we'll be ice fishing, out on the lake in the name of putting meat on the table.

I have multiple final papers and projects to grade over the next several days. All are due by Friday.

But first, it's time for a cup of coffee and talk with Andy. He thinks deep thoughts too.

After all, a man's work is never done.

So are the tales from Pentoga Road...
